Alan and I attended the same senior school. We both studied History and Appreciation of Music at 'O' level. At that time I was into Tijuana Brass. Alan was an aficionado of the Beatles. After graduation we went our separate ways. I worked for Calderdale Area Health Authority; he was employed by Webster's Brewery as a drayman. His favourite song by the Beatles was Yeasterday.
