Yes he could have won, but not playing by the rules he would have lost his integrity.
Surely we have it backwards when a culture celebrates talent more than integrity.
Intellect, appearance and talent depreciates over time, whereas integrity doesn't. It takes time to build a reputation. Why not celebrate and protect it?
