JKCS Library project using OpenOffice Calc
This academic year the John Knox Christian School library is promoting 'no overdue library books'. To encourage each class towards this goal a monthly graph will show the number of library books overdue per class. Below is a spreadsheet template (the student figures are correct thus far; the overdue books are fictitious) and a graph produced using the spreadsheet data.

John Knox Christian School recommendations
The following statements were affirmed by the staff members named within this post:
Ian carried out thorough research on my behalf before preparing appropriate work materials for students in the class I teach. I commend his dedicated systematic approach to the task undertaken.
Jannette Hickey Grade 3 teacher
Ian conducts ongoing organized research for our Canadian trivia quiz. His sharp wit is evidenced through the formulation of the questions. His willingness to do this for me is a great help, and frees me to address other things.
Marion Dieleman BA - AQ Library
Ian has contributed his time, computer knowledge and skill to the continued development of the computer lab. During his 8 years involvement with John Knox Christian School he has adapted and created a number of programs for the students. I recommend this resourceful, dedicated and motivated individual, who has furthered his skill base through continued learning.
Margaret Schmor Advancement Director
Greg Hiemstra Grade 6 teacher, Computer coordinator
Mike Meinema Principal
Ian developed various computer graphing activities for the grade seven class at our school. He has assisted in teaching the mathematical graphing unit and has challenged the students to make and alter various types of graphs. His input and expertise in developing and teaching these activities was of great value to the classroom teacher and to the students.
Helen Ysselstein Grade 7 teacher
